Thanks! That's the power of modern editing software, like Adobe Photoshop. You can do in seconds what might have taken hours with traditional dark room processing (or might not have been possible at all).

You certainly take a good photo and what we find interesting is the way that they can be altered to improve what one actually sees, if something is in the way (like the troublesome tree) just get rid!! We suppose that being able to change the colouring in a photo saves a lot of time where one could be waiting ages to get the correct light or shade, for example in the sky or water etc, clever. Keep clicking away Michael.

Thanks for the comment. Actually, it's probably about the only thing about Ulm that is interesting (aside from the fact that it also has the tallest church in the world).

Well, your post-processing has worked! It's a great shot, very colourful.

BTW, did you know that Ulm is the home-town of Albert Einstein?

Hi Michael, Sorry for taking so long to view your latest photos but at last I have . The Ulm festival photos were interesting, I must ask my friend Crola who was born in Germany, if she remembers seeing similar parades as a child and young woman.

Washington did appear awash with tourists but then that's understandable, a "must" place to see I guess. What a shame you hadn't known about being able to get within the White House grounds, that would have been an experience for you.

Hello Michael,

Wow, the view from the Prudential of the building you know as R2-D2 is enough to bring on an attack of vertigo, how high up were you? If you ever tire of research I'm sure you can have another career in photography, you certainly have a talent for it. We hope that you enjoy Mum and Dad's visit in a few days time.

I was just quite surprised at the lack of signposts or information. I certainly agree that it is an event worthy of remembrance.
